3. We started an argumentative webquest for the using dogs in sled dog racing. Students are forming a position by researching both sides of the issue. Then they are completing an argumentative writing piece. The link is below, and all documents are attached in the webquest.

8. To go with the previous lesson, we learned about prepositional phrases. First, we identified the phrases and prepositions starting them. I did not talk about the adverb/adjective function yet as described in the power point I emailed you. We just went through and identified the prepositional phrases and prepositions as a class. Then we downloaded the task cards (see below) and identified the prepositional phrases/prepositions.
9. To continue with the prepositional phrase lesson, we went through the previous materials and identified if they had an adjective or adverb function.
10. We completed a practice test for the PSSA. We interacted with the text by highlighting/talking to text. We answered multiple choice questions. We created a graphic organizer for the text dependent analysis, then wrote out the answer. Download "practice1henryford.pdf."
