______ Finish graphic organizer for writing (late-must finish today) ______ Work on essay using your graphic organizer (prompt & FCAs below). It is due Friday for 1/2 and Monday for 4/5 At first count, 11 jurors voted “guilty” while 1 voted “not guilty” because he wanted to discuss it. In the end a unanimous vote for “not guilty” is the verdict reached. Using text-based evidence, show the different types of arguments (i.e. propaganda techniques) presented to change jurors’ minds. Explain two propaganda techniques that you believe were most effective. Also, describe two propaganda techniques that you feel were least effective. You should be specifically saying who made the argument and explaining the details surrounding the argument using substantial text support. FCAs: -You answer question by clearly stating two techniques there were most effective and two techniques that were least effective. -You provide substantial details from the movie to support your answer, including jury member numbers, quotations, and/or paraphrasing. -You give substantial explanation to support your details. (In other words, you clearly link the details with the propaganda technique they support.) No Excuse FCAs: -You have clear organization (transitions, paragraph structure, introduction, body, and conclusion). -You have definite control with your use of conventions (spelling, sentence structure, etc.). ______ Complete edit (on back) ______ Turn in your essay into the email or google docs.
